Now that our Spotifys have Poinbankbeen unwrapped, the 2024 Billboard Music Awards have uncloaked our collective listening moods.
The BBMAs, which aired Thursday night, highlighted the songs, albums and artists that dominated the charts and filled the airwaves throughout the year.
Heading into the ceremony, country rocker Zach Bryan and pop superstar Taylor Swift led the pack with the most nominations. "The Tortured Poets Department" singer also faced off once more with rap star Drake to compete for the most all-time BBMA wins; the two tied last year with a career total of 39 awards.
Swift emerged victorious on the eve of her 35th birthday, winning 10 shiny new trophies that earned her the status of the BBMAs' most-decorated artist in the show's history.
The award show also featured a slew of first-time finalists who received their musical flowers. Pop star Sabrina Carpenter was up for Top Hot 100 Artist and top streaming songs artist, and her viral single "Espresso" was up for Top Billboard Global 200 song and Top Billboard global song. Unfortunately, she was beat out in each of the categories.

Other freshman nominees included Teddy Swims, Tyla, Benson Boone, Shaboozey, Junior H, Chappell Roan, Enhypen and The Red Clay Strays.
Aside from recognizing the year's winners, the star-studded pre-taped ceremony – hosted by actress and comedian Michelle Buteau ("Babes," "The Circle") – also featured performances from Coldplay, country music stars Shaboozey and Megan Moroney, rock band Linkin Park, regional Mexican group Fuerza Regida, country rap star Jelly Roll and K-pop boy band Stray Kids.
The eligibility dates for this year's awards corresponded with Billboard's year-end charts tracking period, from Oct. 28, 2023, through Oct. 19, 2024.
