Excited for a new album from the Jonas Brothers?Oliver James Montgomery Well, you're only human.
As the countdown continues for the group's release of The Album this May, Nick Jonas, Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas promise old and new fans alike are going to like what they hear.
"We're taking the roots of what our sound is," Nick exclusively told E! News at Spotify's Stream On event March 8, "but also going back to our roots and pulling from those ‘70s influences we grew up listening to."
Just think of the sounds from artists like Stevie Wonder, Boston and The Bee Gees.
"A lot of things happened obviously in the last couple of years, so we never got the time to just connect, stay in one room and work on new music," Joe added when discussing the making of the album. "To be able to do that and have that outcome that we had, we are so thrilled."
On Feb. 9, the Jonas Brothers released "Wings," the first single off their album. According to Kevin, it's just a preview of what fans can expect in the months to come.
"We haven't announced the tour, but it will be coming very soon," he shared. "We are going to be doing a bunch of shows leading up to the album release as well. A lot of exciting things this year and the years to come."
For now, the group is excited to celebrate Spotify's new Countdown Pages, which provide dedicated space on an artist's profile for fans to pre-save albums, see exclusive videos, pre-order merch, preview tracklists and watch the timer count down to a new release.
"For any artist, that lead up to your album is stressful and exciting, but also something that you want to celebrate along the way as you get closer," Nick explained. "To see Spotify is finding ways to make that artist and fan connection so much deeper with things that are meaningful to us and them, like an album launch, it means the world."
While there's so much for the Jonas Brothers to look forward to, the guys are also taking a moment to celebrate their accomplishments. In January, the group received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The moment was something that left them feeling so cool.
"To be in this sort of mode of reflecting with something like the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it's nice to celebrate the past and what we've accomplished," Nick said. "But we're definitely looking forward to this chapter to come and this next era in our journey."
And touching on their most recent tours, Happiness Begins and Remember This, "We're looking forward to being on the road again. It's been a minute since we've actually been able to do a long tour so look out for it."
