Janet Jackson will remain part of the rhythm nation in 2024.
The blockbuster performer will hit the road June 4 for a 35-date continuation of her Together Again tour, launching in Palm Springs, California and wrapping July 30 in Phoenix. In between, she’ll visit arenas and amphitheaters in cities including San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, Boston, Detroit, Brooklyn, Washington, D.C. and Atlanta.
Tickets for the shows go on sale via a pre-sale at 10 a.m. Thursday and the general public on-sale at 10 a.m. Friday at livenation.com. Hip-hop star Nelly will join Jackson on all dates.
In April 2023, Jackson kicked off a three-month Together Again outing, named for her No. 1 hit from 1997; it was her first tour in four years.
Jackson,57, hasn’t released a new album since 2015’s “Unbreakable,” but like many major artists lately – Madonna and Taylor Swift among them – she staged her most recent tour as an overview of her storied career.
With a set list touching on nearly three dozen songs – albeit many in medley form – Jackson’s 2023 concerts highlighted her mega-output from the ‘80s (“What Have You Done for Me Lately,” “Control”), ‘90s (“That’s the Way Love Goes,” “Again”) and ‘00s (“All For You,” “Doesn’t Really Matter”) as well as infrequently heard album tracks (“Damita Jo,” “So Excited”).
A swirling slate of fashion statements, including a gold bodysuit and a fuchsia-and-plaid jumpsuit, and shoulder-squaring moves with a troupe of dancers added to the visual spectacle of last year's tour.
Here is where Jackson, a 2019 inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will play in 2024:
